Job Description
Stores Assistant Intern
The Davis & Shirtliff Group is the leading supplier of Water and Energy solutions in the East, Central and Southern African region with a network of branches in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Rwanda, South Sudan, DRC and Zimbabwe. The company has a total complement of over 800 highly trained and professional staff spread across the region.
We are looking for two qualified and talented professionals to fill in the position of Stores Assistant reporting to the Stores Supervisor:
The successful candidate will have the following attributes: –
- At least a diploma in Purchasing and Supply or related course.
- At least two years‘ experience in a busy warehouse.
- Below 30 years of age, preferred.
- Possess a valid driving license.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office.
- Customer oriented and effective communication skills.
The main duties for Stores Assistant Intern role include:-
- Issuing the various store items as per requests both in the system and physical removal.
- Physical verification of inventory and reconciling with the system.
- Maintaining stores cleanliness, orderliness and safety.
- Conducting stock take periodically as need arises.
- Controlling the movement of various items to and from the store.
- Effectively handling the various internal and external customers with professionalism and decorum.
The successful candidates will be exposed to a dedicated team of specialists in the water and energy sectors with a possibility of potential for employment in the company if a position is available.
