Job Description:
Soneri Bank Limited is seeking a dedicated and professional Counter Service Officer to join our team. The Counter Service Officer will play a key role in delivering high-quality customer service, handling daily banking transactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the branch. This position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a customer-oriented mindset.

Leading Aviation Technician (Mechanical) (JHB)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service at the counter, addressing inquiries, requests, and concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Process a variety of banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, fund transfers, and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with bank policies.
  • Verify the authenticity of documents and ensure all transactions are in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist customers with account-related queries, balance inquiries, and other service-related requests.
  • Promote and cross-sell bank products and services to enhance customer experience.
  • Maintain and update customer records accurately in the bank’s system.
  • Ensure the security of cash and valuable items in the branch.
  • Handle customer complaints and escalate issues to the Branch Manager as needed.
  • Stay updated on bank products, services, and policies to provide informed assistance.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Commerce, or related field.
  • Prior experience in customer service or banking is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of banking operations and financial products is a plus.
