Kenya Tourism Board
The Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) is a state corporation established under the Tourism Act of 2011, tasked with promoting Kenya as a premier tourist destination. Operating under the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife & Heritage, KTB’s mission is to market Kenya as the home of human origin and as an all-year-round diverse, sustainable, and authentic tourism destination. Its vision is to make Kenya the most visited tourism destination in Africa.
KTB employs a multifaceted approach, including digital marketing, international roadshows, and partnerships with airlines and tour operators, to enhance Kenya’s visibility in global markets. The board also collaborates with local stakeholders to develop and promote unique tourism experiences that showcase Kenya’s rich cultural heritage, diverse landscapes, and abundant wildlife.
In March 2024, June Chepkemei was appointed as the new CEO, bringing her extensive experience in investment promotion and digital innovation to the role. Under her leadership, KTB aims to further elevate Kenya’s tourism sector, attracting more visitors and contributing to the nation’s economic growth.
