The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) of Kenya is an independent constitutional body established under Article 171 of the Constitution. Its primary mandate is to promote and facilitate the independence and accountability of the Judiciary, as well as ensure the efficient, effective, and transparent administration of justice. The JSC is responsible for overseeing the recruitment, discipline, and removal of judicial officers, including judges and magistrates. It also plays a crucial role in advising the President on judicial appointments and fostering the development of judicial policy. By upholding the rule of law and enhancing public confidence, the JSC contributes significantly to the administration of justice in Kenya.
