Your Role at impact.com: Finance Intern

As a Finance Intern at impact.com, you will start your career in the dynamic world of Finance. We’re looking for detail-oriented, motivated individuals to join our Global Finance team.
This is your opportunity to learn and adapt within a fast paced, high responsibility environment.

You will gain hands-on experience, working with a diverse team, and making a real impact. As a Finance Intern, you will be familiar with administrative procedures within a finance team and be able to manage daily financial transactions end-to-end. The ideal candidate is able to work independently and accurately, with a high degree of professionalism.

What You’ll Do as Finance Intern

  • Financial Metrics: Experience the world of finance through the lenses of our world-class Financial Planning and Analysis, Revenue Operations and Business Operations teams, through Data visualization, analytics, dashboarding and presentations
  • Operational Efficiency: Experience first hand, how innovative methods, controls and processes are developed for effective business solutions
  • Ad-Hoc Finance Projects: As a member of the Global Finance team, support stakeholders, in a manner that embraces excellence in quality, communication and cooperation
  • Hands-On Experience: Get involved in real financial scenarios, transactions as well as develop technical, analytical and communication skills that are essential for a finance career.
  • Professional & Personal Growth: Develop crucial skills to enable progression within the corporate finance, financial planning, and financial operations work streams. In addition, you will gain access to finance networks and mentors offering guidance and support.
  • Team Spirit: Be part of a supportive team that values your input and encourages your development.

What You Have:

  • Professional traits: Self-driven with a Positive attitude, displaying good time management and organizational skills. Having the ability to communicate with internal peers and stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for accuracy with the ability to analyse financial data and apply it to financial systems.
  • Digital Savvy:Experience in navigating Microsoft and Google suite applications.
  • Independent and Collaborative: Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Degree / qualifications:
    • Tertiary level qualification in Financial Accounting / Commerce / Economics or Business Administration
    • Studying towards Honors or Masters within Finance would be advantageous
    • Completed Data analytics, advanced systems, or Business leadership certifications would be advantageous
  • General
    • A positive can-do attitude and a willingness to learn new processes and procedures
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment
    • Ability to work as a team player and to work with minimal supervision

This is a full time 12 month internship.
